Grinding sugar between molars
Popping and sliding
Soft gravel
A blanket of hypothermic proportion
Draped in innocence
Lake of silent tranquility
Undisturbed yet inviting
As the soft hair behind a dog's ear
All creation slumbers on this frigid morn
Curiosity and solitude awaken the senses.
