the help

i love it when crazy things happen to me...

last week my editor told me he's been reading this book called, "the help" by kathryn stockett. this is her first book and it's already become a national seller. barnes & noble and borders can't keep it on the shelf and you can't find it anywhere on sale.

after spending a few days looking for it, i finally gave up.

friday came around and i went to a local used bookstore with my friend. she was going to sell some books. as we're pulling the boxes out of the car, what book do i see sitting right on top, reflecting sunlight in all it's glory? oh yes, it was "the help."

i grabbed it up and exclaimed, "i've been looking for this! i didn't know you had a copy." so she gave it to me to read. i was thrilled.

already 6 chapters in and loving it. great writing and page-turning character development.
