smushed between venezuela and suriname lies the country of guyana; roughly populated by 748,000 people and sitting on the edge of south america with the atlantic ocean in it's backyard.
on december 4, a photographer and i will hop on a plane and venture into the caribbean port of georgetown to meet fiona, our story subject.
despite concerns of malaria, typhoid and dengue fever i'm looking forward to going. it hasn't been an easy four months of waiting since this story fell in my lap, but i believe the Lord has something for us in georgetown. i believe there is a story to tell and the enemy doesn't want it to happen.
i'm asking many to pray. pray we stay healthy. pray for protection and safety (crime is high right now in the area we will be staying). pray we get quality pictures and good quotes, strong interviews. pray the story tells itself and brings glory to God.
i've never been this nervous about traveling before. many uncertainties but knowing God is in control.
