The ceremony was weird at points, but whatev. Still impressive.
Today, I'm doing my daily peruse of nytimes, looking at photo galleries from Beijing.
The Chinese did a fantastic job hosting the 2008 Olympics.
Yeah, so the 12 year old girls shouldn't have been competing in gymnastics... life goes on. Nastia and Shawn know they rock face.
Go back and look at videos or pics from any time another country won a medal over China. What will you see? The Chinese people (even the stinkin' cheer leaders) clapping and celebrating with the gold medal winners. Afreakingmazing. I especially noticed this when Misty & Kerri won the gold in beach volleyball.
I know other countries did it too... it's a sportsmanship thing. I'm just stating an observation.
Well done, China. Well done.
Watch out London 2012! (eek- double digits!)
